Construction of Access Points on McBride and Leopold Place Announced

Message from the PBRO: We would like to provide you with an update regarding the site preparation work that will soon get underway in the greenspace adjacent to the Eagle Crest building.

Starting next Monday, crews are scheduled to begin the first stage of work area set-up. This is expected to continue on Tuesday, July 27 and Wednesday, July 28, with crews building the access points off of McBride Boulevard and Leopold Place near Royal Avenue.

While this work is underway, there will be some noise and temporary no parking signs in the immediate area on Leopold Place. There will also be a closure of the southbound slow lane on McBride Boulevard between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. While this closure is in effect, the sidewalk on the east side of McBride Boulevard will be closed and pedestrians will be detoured to the other side of McBride. When required, traffic control personnel will be on site to direct traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists. All traffic pattern changes will be well signed.

Following completion of work on the access points, we expect to begin fence set-up. This will be followed by the investigative ground work.

Another update with more information on this next stage of work will be provided in advance of works commencing.
